Who we are:

We are a group of men that enjoy singing in the "Barbershop Style." We get together once a week for a meeting and rehearsal of the "Spirit of the Alleghenies Chorus." Once a year, usually near the end or middle of April, we put on our Annual Show (please refer to the Annual Show page for more info). Also, we perform at community and civic events in our local area such as; meetings, parties, church services, community choral events, retirement and nursing homes, and anywhere else that will have us and that we can schedule. One of our primary focuses is the promotion and encouragement of singing by young people; particularly, through the Society's Youth in Harmony (YIH) program.

The MISSION of the St. Mary's Chapter of the
Barbershop Harmony Society is to:

1. Have fellowship and fun in singing.

2. Encourage and promote Barbershop style singing by providing quality performances and service to our local community.

3. Support organizations that contribute to music appreciation and the common interests of our mission.

Meeting information:

We meet weekly, throughout the year, at the American Legion Post 103, 168 Center Street, Saint Marys, PA 15857 on Tuesday evenings from 7:00 pm to 9:30 pm. Any and all men who like to sing are welcome to drop in. We do occasionally meet elsewhere, usually in conjunction with a performance somewhere; so any visitors are urged to call one of Contacts listed below in advance, if possible. If you need a ride, contact us, we'll see what we can do - we have members all over this area, somebody can probably pick you up.
